The Silverado rig is an authentic reproduction of a Cheyenne style holster from the 1880's. It is the most authentic reproduction we make. It's made from vegetable tanned domestic leather and is of the finest quality anywhere in the industry today!

We make this rig in lined and unlined versions. The lining we use is pig skin which gives the best look and feel of the Old West. Available in Natural, Chestnut and black, left and right only no cross draw

	Rio Bravo

The Rio Bravo design comes in two sizes 4-3/4, 5-1/2.

This is probably one of the most famous holsters ever made. Seen every week on Gunsmoke and in famous movies like Eldorado, Rio Bravo, Silverado and countless others. Our version has been modified to bring the Best out in you! We've set the drop to 2 1/2 inches. Shortened the holster overall and curved the top outward. We then gave it a relief in the front and ample clearance behind the trigger guard to aid in palming the gun during those blazing fast two gun stages. It makes doing the border shift fast and effortless! Drawing your gun from this rig is pure excitement. The Rio Bravo comes in three configurations, right and left strong side straight up, strong side and a cross draw and forward canted right and left strong side! All holsters come with a double screw clip that holds the holster tight against the belt so it wont move. Includes a diecut robust hammer thong and tie downs.

This early 1870 -1880's style holster is typical of the first Mexican loop holsters made in the Old West.

The CAS Competition Rig is our all out balls to the wall Cowboy Action Shooting competition rig! Made from very high quality vegetable tanned skirting leather this puppy is ready to improve your shooting. We at M. Shelhart & Co. have been cowboy shooting for ten years. During these ten years we have tried it all; This rig is the result of those years of shooting. We started with a forward tilt to make it faster to draw quickly. We have molded the holster so that the guns are angled outward. The holster is double lined and the top edge is turn out. We then set it up so you can fasten the holster down tight against the cartridge belt. This is our mounted shooting rig. With over a year of testing we've found this to be the best holster combination for the sport of Cowboy Mounted Shooting. It comes fully lined with Pig skin designed to keep those guns in the holster during those tuff rundowns. We've rolled the edge of the lining over the top of the holster to enhance putting the guns back during competition without breaking down the holster's upper edge. The top of the holster is cut down to keep the trigger guard exposed for quick removal during competition.

Antique Reproduction Gun Leather

We custom build antique reproduction holsters, saddlebags and cartridge belts. Most of our customers order these rigs to show off original Colt single action antique firearms. These museum quality leather goods are built from originals that we have or have had access to over the years. Each one of these pieces is pain stakingly built from a special bark tanned leather that comes from a tannery that has been in business since 1863. The leather we use is still tanned the original way. This and a careful process that ages the leather naturally without damage produces a rig that you'd swear was an original.
