Our shotgun chaps are made with pebble grain leather in an oil tan 4-5 oz. chap leather. They're called shotgun chaps because they resemble the barrel of a shotgun. They are put on just like a pair of pants. They have also been called stove pipes as well. These Shotgun chaps were popular with cowboys from around 1870 to the late 1880s. In the late 1800s Batwing began to appear even though shotgun chaps remained popular well into the turn of the century. These Cowboy chaps come with border tooled tops, 1-1/4; inch cuffs and 5 inch fringe. They are also available antiqued to look old and well used.

These Shotgun chaps are one of our best sellers! They come with the works. We start with a soft chocolate brown oil tan 4-5 oz. chap leather. The top yokes have old style rolled tooling and the large pockets have pull down leather tabs with scalloped edges. We add spots to the pocket tops and cuffs and 5 inch contrasting fringe. We then add a distressed finish. You'd swear these cowboy chaps have been around for a 100 years. You can't find anything better for the money!

Another great rendition of traditional old west shotgun chaps. Instead of fringe these are adorned with conchos and tassels down the sides. The pockets are scalloped and the buttons are nickel silver.

These are our version of the popular Buckaroo Chinks. They're made from soft supple glove tan leather. The fringe is hand cut and changes length as it curves around the bottom to flow with the shape of the chap. The hand engraved concho's are made especially for us and come in either nickle or brass with matching hardware. The tops can be natural oil, Chestnut.

These offer a change from the traditional shotgun style chaps. Instead of the normal conchos seen on most chaps these are completely laced down the sides. These shotgun chaps have the standard style pockets and are available with or without fringe. This is for the cowboy that prefers a less fancy look, a working cowboy chap! The ones shown in the picture feature our optional laced pockets for an added touch of that ruff look. These shotgun chaps are patterned after ones made in the 1880's by F.A. Meanea and J. S. Collins they are circa 1885-1890
